Actually, there is no second layout. Not yet — as I have no room for it. But there will be one day. But there are thoughts about such a layout.
- Shall I stick with running trains with analogue power or shall I go with the trend and switch to digital control?
- If digital, what is the best protocol? And the best controller?
- How do I address the solenoids (i.e. signals and points)?
- Do I need to have feedback circuits that tell me where the trains are?
