My first model railway was set up by my father, and I found it — with trains running — under the Christmas tree in 1973. The layout was limited to 1 by 2 metres because it needed to fit under my bed at night (the whole frame was mounted on wheels) so that I could push it under the bed when I was done playing. A brilliant idea!
Anyhow, here are the track plan and a 3D view (as I recall it – but, mind you, it was dismantled about 15 years ago…). And if you don’t believe it there is proof or the layout (together with my father) and my interest in steam (with my mother).
